Grower's Notes:
|
The Montezuma
Cypress
and Bald Cypress are closely related, and look
very similar. However, the Montezuma Cypress is semi-evergreen to evergreen,
while the Bald Cypress is
deciduous. The male flowers of the Montezuma
Cypress
are borne in long racemes, whereas with the Bald
Cypress they are in
short clusters. While the extreme southern part of Texas is its northernmost range, because of our increasingly warmer cool season it may survive winters north of Houston. |
