Mexican
Redbud
is smaller in stature than the Texas
Redbud.
Its leaves are also smaller, glossier, and more
wavy-edged. The flowers are rose-purple. It grows as a multi-trunked tree, and is very drought tolerant. It cannot tolerate poorly drained soils, and must be planted in a well-drained site. |
