| Notes: | Bottlebrush should be grown in full sun,
preferably in moist, well-drained soil. Be sure the
soil drains well as roots often rot in wet soil. Although drought-tolerant, best flowering and growth is obtained with regular moisture and fertilization. The flowers attract butterflies and hummingbirds! The brittle wood of Bottlebrush may make it unsuitable for windy areas but this is usually not a problem in most locations. They are suitable for street planting, as a lawn specimen, or screen. For smaller sized yards consider using the Dwarf Bottlebrush. To create large screens, consider using the Weeping Bottlebrush. The latter makes a nice, small tree. |
