| Althea
is
very easy to grow. It is a reliably hardy, drought
tolerant shrub that can be easily trained into tree form.
It blooms freely -- each flower lasts one day but others
open daily. It does not send up suckers, but it reseeds. Shown above is Red Heart. We also carry Aphrodite (dark pink with red eye), Diana (pure white) and Minerva. After planting, water regularly until well established. Feed and prune in very early spring. |
