| A native
of Central America, it loves hot weather, and will keep
blooming while the temperature is to its liking. In fall,
its leaves turn various shades of red. Dormant in winter,
and is slow to start in the spring. It can be pruned to a smaller height, and also can be used as a hedge. Drought tolerance is another benefit it features. Hummingbirds go nuts over it. Butterflies like it too. |
